It <br \/>highlights the challenges and opportunities that come with combining Mechatronics <br \/>and sustainability, and also discusses related domains like Cyber-Physical Systems, <br \/>Robotics, and Autonomous Robots.<\/p>\n<p>The presentation focuses on the Concurrent Engineering Workflow, which is an <br \/>approach to designing and manufacturing Mechatronic systems that takes into account <br \/>their sustainability impact. The relationship between manufacturing processes and <br \/>Industry 4.0 is also discussed, along with approaches to design and communication <br \/>issues.<\/p>\n<p>Sustainable Manufacturing (SM) is a crucial aspect, and the main approaches to SM <br \/>over time are discussed. The 6R and TBL dimensions are introduced as a sequence of <br \/>SM processes, and their importance is highlighted.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, the Applications of Mechatronics, including the use of Big Data and <br \/>Analytics, and Industry 4.0 to enhance sustainable manufacturing are demonstrated. <br \/>The data acquisition, munging, storage, management, analytics, and user access layers <br \/>are all explained.<\/p>\n<p>A case study of a cement factory is presented to illustrate the implementation of <br \/>sustainable manufacturing models in industry.
